Magic Have Yet to Extend Offer to Barnes

Free agent forward Matt Barnes, who gained a cult following last season for his gritty play and never back down attitude on the court, reports on his Twitter account that he has yet to receive an offer from the Orlando Magic.

Barnes went on to say that he has no hard feelings and understands the business of basketball.

Magic sign Chris Duhon

With two of their point guards becoming free agents this offseason, the Orlando Magic needed to find depth behind starter Jameer Nelson.

It appears that depth will come in the form of former New York Knicks point guard Chris Duhon.

ESPN.com's Chad Ford reported this morning that Duhon's agent has confirmed a 4 year/$15 million deal with the Magic.

Duhon spent the last two seasons of his career in New York after signing a free agent deal there in the summer of 2008. He averaged 7.4 points and 5.6 assists per game last season.

Magic Drop Summer League Opener

This probably wasn't the start to his career that Daniel Orton and the Orlando Magic had in mind.

Orton, the 29th overall pick by the Magic in the 2010 NBA Draft, was ejected in the third quarter after getting into a fight with Pacers center Josh McRoberts and scored only three points on 1-of-8 shooting in 13 minutes and 28 seconds on the floor. Without effective play from their top pick Orlando dropped their opening game of the 2010 AirTran Airways Orlando Pro Summer League with an 86-77 loss on Monday afternoon at RDV Sportsplex.

Patrick Ewing, Jr, led all Orlando scorers with 15 points, as his dad looked on from the bench, where he was serving as Orlando's head coach. Forward Jeff Adrien added a double for the Magic with 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
